Nikita Parris - Brighton Women bring in Man Utd star on deadline day
Brighton Women’s impressive transfer window ended with another marquee signing on Friday. The Seagulls signed 30-year-old forward Nikita Parris for an undisclosed fee. She is the second member of England’s Euro 2024 winning team to join the club, after Fran Kirby signed from Chelsea in July.
Parris scored 16 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United last season. She also won the FA Cup with the Red Devils in May.
Michelle Agyemang - Arsenal prospect joins Brighton on loan
Brighton Women have brought in Arsenal academy player Michelle Agyemang on a season-long loan. The deal does not include a buy-option and the Gunners are reportedly not keen to let Agyemang go any time soon.
Ollie Arblaster - Seagulls identify next big signing
According to EFL reporter Alan Nixon, Sheffield United’s Ollie Arblaster is Brighton’s next big transfer target. Nixon and other outlets previously reported that the Seagulls made a move for Arblaster before the transfer window slammed shut two weeks ago.
Nixon says Brighton are focused on getting a deal done for the 20-year-old in January. Tony Bloom and Co are “willing to pay in excess of £20m” for Arblaster, Nixon says.

Geummin Lee - Brighton Women sell South Korean international to Birmingham
South Korean forward Geummin Lee left Brighton for Birmingham City on WSL deadline day last Friday. The 30-year-old was one of the Albion’s most tenured players, with 96 appearances for the club since joining on loan from Man City in the 2020/21 season.
Li Mengwen - Defender joins West Ham on loan
Albion right back Li Mengwen has joined West Ham on a year-long loan. The Chinese international joined Brighton on a free transfer from Jiangsu last season. She made 15 appearances for the club.
Lily Dent, Grace McEwen - Brighton Women youngsters join Portsmouth on loan
Brighton Women U19 players Lily Dent (18) and Grace McEwen (19) have joined second-tier side Portsmouth on loan. Dent has also just signed her first professional contract with Brighton. McEwen’s deal is dual-registration loan, meaning she will be available for both the Seagulls’ U19 team as well as Portsmouth’s first team. She cannot play for the Brighton Women first team.

Fabian Hürzeler wins Premier League Manager of the Month award
After guiding Brighton to an undefeated start to the season, Fabian Hürzeler was named Premier League Manager of the Month for August. He, obviously, is the youngest manager ever to win the award. He is the first Brighton manager to win the award since Chris Hughton won it in February 2018.
Arne Slot (Liverpool), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), and Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) were also nominated.
Brighton Women announce two WSL games at the Amex
Brighton have announced that two of the Albion’s women’s team matches will be played at the Amex this season. First, Brighton Women will host Manchester United on Saturday, October 19th at 12:30pm. Then, the Seagulls will play West Ham United in another 12:30pm kickoff at the Amex on November 16th.

Brighton fan to drive ambulance full of critical supplies to Ukraine
Lifelong Seagulls fan Paul Samrah is headed to Ukraine this week with an ambulance full of medical supplies. In collaboration with the charity Medical Lifelines Ukraine, Samrah has raised over £30k to buy “desperately needed” medical supplies.
Samrah was one of the key figures in the campaign to save Brighton and later in the campaign to build the Amex. He and a fleet of other ambulances plan to arrive in the city of Lviv on September 22. You can read more here.
Chelsea poach yet another Brighton staff member
In lighter news, Chelsea are back to doing what they do best: signing Brighton staff members. According to inews.co.uk football correspondent Mark Douglas, the Blues have poached “highly-rated scout” John Tweedy from Brighton. Tweedy is believed to be a specialist in scouting wingers.
Loan Summary
Facundo Buonanotte: The Argentine made the bench for Leicester City, but did not play against Palace on Saturday. Steve Cooper revealed before the game that Buonanotte is dealing with a knock.
Jeremy Sarmiento: Played 27 minutes at left wing as a substitute in Burnley’s 1-0 win at Leeds. After the match, Sarmiento celebrated the win on social media, tweeting out “Putting the L in Elland Road.”
Ibrahim Osman: Made his league debut for Feyenoord in the club’s 2-2 draw with Groningen. Osman played 29 minutes off the bench. He had two shots, tied for the most on Feyenoord’s squad.
